Outrage online after influencer reveals their fee for Peroni ad

TikTok is in disbelief after Phoebe Goode, who has 2.3M followers on the short video platform, accidentally leaked how much she got paid to make a video for Peroni. The advert, which amassed over 23 million views, was taken down after it had already been reposted on fan pages dedicated to Goode.

The video, costing Peroni's marketing budget a whopping £245,000, features approximately 15 seconds of short clips intended to represent “air”. This includes steam from hot water, a hand dryer, wind blowing and, finally, the creator opening a Peroni bottle. The final clip is labelled “the best kind of air”. At first, the video failed to gain momentum online but after the invoice was leaked, the backlash began. Critics have questioned how the campaign justified such a budget, with one comment reading, “Apparently a video of a hand dryer costs more than my flat.” Peroni has declined to comment on the reported fee but described the campaign as “a visually led exploration of atmosphere, movement, and connection.”
